Hollywood actress Blake Lively will soon be seen in a post-apocalyptic thriller about a woman fighting for her family’s survival. Lively is teaming up with director Shawn Levy for the film, titled Dark Days At The Magna Karta. The film will be aired on Netflix.
Netflix is working on the project with the intention of creating a trilogy. The screenplay is written by Michael Paisley as he on board for the venture. Lively will also back the film with Kate Vorhoff with her B For Effort banner. Levy will produce the film with partner Dan Cohen via his 21 Laps banner.
While the character of Blake in the film is kept under wraps it is described as “a character-driven thriller set against a catastrophic event and centers on a woman going to extreme lengths to survive and save her family.”
Paisley was the one who brought the story up. She began conceptualizing the story last year but when the pandemic began around the world, including the US, her ideas began to take shape.
The plot of the film is not related to the 2011 movie Contagion which is currently very relevant to the on-going crises. Rather it is about “a world-altering event which the key foil and themes the isolation and strength of the family emerge.”
On the work front, Blake Lively in a movie titled The Rhythm Section. The film released earlier this year.
Currently, the actress is cooped with husband Ryan Reynolds and her kids at home amid the coronavirus pandemic. By the posts Blake is posting on social media it seems like she is enjoying her life with her family away from the hectic shooting schedules.
