Billie Eilish Will Perform At The Oscars 2020 After Winning Big At The Grammys

The Academy has officially confirmed that 18-year-old Billie Eilish will perform at the 92nd Academy Awards 2020 on February 9th.

Only a few days after winning big and making history at the Grammy Awards 2020, Billie Eilish is all set to perform at the Oscars 2020!

The Academy officially announced that the 18-year-old singer will perform at the 92nd Academy Awards 2020 on February 9th held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.

The Academy took to Instagram and Twitter on Wednesday (Jan. 29) to make the announcement that read, “Are you ready? @billieeilish will take to the #Oscars stage for a special performance! Watch live on @ABC.”

Billie tweeted confirming the news, “Watch a special performance by Billie on the 92nd #Oscars on Sunday, February 9. @theacademy @ABCNetwork”

The Bad Guy singer seems to be on a roll and has already achieved so much in just the first month of the decade. The singer made history after bagging 4 top awards at the Grammys including – best new artist, record of the year, album of the year and song of the year.

Breaking Taylor Swift‘s record, who won the award at age of 20 for ‘Fearless’, Billie became the youngest solo performer to ever win the album of the year award for her debut ‘When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go’,  and also became the first artist to take home the four major awards in major categories in 39 years. The last artist who bagged these awards was Christopher Cross back in 1981.

Apart from Eilish, Elton John, Idina Menzel, Cynthia Erivo, Chrissy Metz and Randy Newman will be taking the stage to perform their Oscar-nominated songs at the 92nd Academy Awards.

Questlove will make an appearance at the ceremony, while Irish composer Eimear Noone will become the first-ever female conductor during an Oscars guest-segment.
