The pop star Billie Eilish recently announced that she is set to release her first fragrance, Eilish, calling the soon-to-be-released scent ‘my favorite smell in the WORLD.’ It’s been a big month for the Los Angeles native who recently got to meet the royal family in London at the premiere of the newest 007 flicks, No Time to Die.
Billie enthusiastically shared an Instagram post and wrote, “I am SO EXCITED to finally share my debut fragrance ‘Eilish’ with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! this is a scent that i’ve been chasing for years and years. this is my favorite smell in the WORLD.” “Fragrance has always been such an enormous part of my life and existence since i can remember, and it was a dream to create this scent and bring my ideas to life,’ she gushed adding, “this has been one of the most exciting things i’ve ever done. i can’t wait for it to be yours so soon!!!!!”
Along with the lengthy caption (billie eilish instagram), Billie posed for a stunning advertisement for her Eilish scent. Taking back to 1950s portraits, the teen star was set against a black backdrop looking over her bare shoulder. Billie’s skin was dewy and glowing and her makeup was natural and fresh. She held a bottle of Eilish against her shoulder. The perfume bottle appeared to be a bronze bust of the singer with the sculpture showing just the bottom portion of her face.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Vogue, billie eilish told, “Perfumes have been one of my greatest joys in life, and I’ve always wanted to make one. Therefore I Am.” She further added, “And not as Billie Eilish, not as an artist, not as a singer. I wanted to make a perfume to have a perfume. It has nothing to do with me, I’m just branding it so that people see it.”
The eponymous fragrance includes cocoa, soft spices, and vanilla – “I’ve always been in love with vanilla since I was a kid and my mom would teach me to bake,” she told the magazine. The fragrance also features base notes of musk, tonka bean, and sleek woods. However, she told Cosmopolitan that she “wanted it to feel cozy, almost like the word November,” which she calls a “brown word and month—almost like tree bark.” “I think that the human body is so beautiful as it is, and we should stop changing all of our bodies and just be appreciative of what they naturally are because they’re so beautiful,” she said, before adding the scent’s silhouette, “I wanted it to feel like you could see anybody in it, and you could be it.”
The Bad Guy (bad guy billie eilish) singer also revealed that the perfume is set to launch sometime in November. Meanwhile, the signer’s fragrance comes in partnership with Nike in which she designed two vegan Jordan sneakers. Prior to the big reveal on Wednesday, the singer teased on social media that she had a surprise coming ahead for fans and had a clue hidden in plain sight with the bottle in the corner of the frame Eilish posted a moody, makeup-free selfie to social media with the caption, “you’ll know more tomorrow;)))))”
Although, billie eilish is not the first celebrity to cash in on the fragrance industry, as stars including Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Lopez have had their own range of scents for years, while Rihanna has also recently debuted her own fragrance.
