Bey first posted a blank picture before posting the actual video to build up the excitement which got fans super curious with comments like, “Wtf is going on?!?!” , “U playing with me B!?!”, “Over a hundred thousand people HAVE liked this post which is just a black square. After a while, the Run the World singer posted the 1 minute and 36-second long recap of her year and captioned it, “2019 Bey-Cap!!” The IGTV video received about 5 million views within a few hours of posting it and thousands of comments from fans like, “NO ONE like YOU! Queen forever” and “Happy new year bey! 2020 gonna be the best yet”
The video had pictures and videos from monumental moments like “Ms. Tina’s birthday” and “Blue’s 7th birthday”, “Date Night,” “Tyler Perry’s farewell party” and “Michael B. Jordan‘s birthday party”. Halfway into the video, a message from former first lady Michelle Obama appears in which she says, “Hey queen! Girl, you have done it again!” The IGTV video also featured footage from the twins Sir and Rumi’s birthday as well as Bey and Jay-Z chatting up Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle at the Lion King premiere in London.
