Beyoncé Drops Surprise Video To Her New Single ‘Break My Soul’ – Watch

On Friday, Beyoncé and Vogue's Instagram account both provided a behind-the-scenes peek at the legendary July cover photo, which featured the singer's new single as the ideal soundtrack.

The video provides viewers with an inside glimpse at the magazine’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful’s “vision of glittering retro-futurism,” as imagined by photographer Rafael Pavarotti and Beyonce herself. The shoot evokes club life cliches from the mid-’80s through the century, with Marni Senofonte co-styling and including “everything from Harris Reed headdresses to Schiaparelli Haute Couture.”

Beyoncé’s chat with Enninful gave fans their first taste of Renaissance, her long-awaited seventh studio album and her first solo release in six years. Enninful revealed that it was because of the pandemic that the whole process took so long. It provided her with “far longer to spend thinking and rethinking every decision. Just the way she likes it.” “Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul,”

Enninful said of the project. He also added that the ‘soaring vocals and fierce beats’ of the music transported him ‘back to the clubs of my youth.’ Tina Knowles-Lawson told Entertainment Tonight about Beyoncé’s upcoming project, “I’m a fan too. I’m very, very excited. I just posted recently that I really miss her singing, and I do. I’m as excited as everybody else. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.” “She put two years of love into this. Many, many nights [she spent] all night working,” Beyoncé’s mother added.

Her mother further said, “I can’t wait for the world to hear it.” Beyoncé took to Instagram on Thursday to tell her fans about the idea for her new album, Renaissance. The singer revealed the album’s cover image, which shows her in a silver bikini atop a horse composed of mirrored tiles, similar to a disco ball. Alongside the cover, she captioned, “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.”

Beyonce added in the caption, “It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving.” “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, and feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha!” she added. “And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
