Beyonce recently teased fans with a clickbait music video for her single Break My Soul. The song’s length was four-minute and thirty-five-second and fans watched the video expecting visuals for the song, however, the singer was only featured in the first 20 seconds. The rest of the video featured a black screen with the album’s name, Renaissance.
Though her appearance was brief, she got the attention in her daring silver body harness, which she also wore on her seventh studio album poster. The video was titled ‘BREAK MY SOUL (CLIQUE BAIT).’ In the steamy video, the 28-time Grammy winner opted for smokey eye makeup with a bright red lip. Queen Bey struck a variety of fierce poses before disappearing off of the saddle. The visuals ended with a fire burning near her silver stallion.
However, it is unclear whether the clip was a teaser for an upcoming music video or simply a way to draw in extra streams. The silver body harness Beyonce sported for the video and album cover was designed by Nusi Quero and was apparently so complicated that it came with an installation video for her stylists, according to Vogue. The stunning design took him a week and a half to figure out, and the singer’s crew had to apply the harness.
The star’s long-awaited album was released at midnight on Friday. And Beyonce surprised fans once again on Wednesday when she dropped a surprise four-song Break My Soul remix EP. The single was originally dropped last month. Beyonce’s new album Renaissance marks the star’s first solo album in six years, since the 2016 release of Lemonade. The excitement over the album has already produced a fan favourite, with many praising the song Virgo’s Groove as the best track on the album.
Queen B also shared a new promotional clip on her social media, which saw her standing in a dimly-lit room wearing a cowboy hat, leather jacket with a fringe, and high heels. However, Beyonce’s latest album also got a backlash from some of the artists. The song was also criticized for using a ‘spaz’ in her lyrics. However, the singer later changed all the controversial lyrics of the Renaissance.
