Right now, a terrifying second wave of Covid-19 is devastating communities around the world, including India, Nepal, and countries across South Asia. As a result, people are falling into extremely vulnerable situations. Many hospitals are full, people are struggling to access medical care, food, and water, as well as masks and hand sanitizer to help protect themselves against the virus. From providing oxygen, ambulance services, first aid, and PPE in India to supporting the vaccination rollout in Bangladesh, Red Cross teams are providing critical help to those who need it most. We cannot leave anyone behind in our response to this deadly pandemic. Please, if you can, donate to our Global Coronavirus Appeal right now. Your donation will reach someone who urgently needs it, no matter where they are in the world.
The red cross has done an immense amount of work during the pandemic and it’s nothing short of incredible. We love the fact that our favorite Avina is recording a song and it’s a celebration of unity and efforts. We bring you what Evelyn has to say about this initiative and here we go, “I’m so honored to be a part of this powerful project and sing along with such talented artists to the hymn for better days ahead. We’ve been apart for way too long and I’m glad we are now on the way to being stronger together.”
And here is what the lead singer Avina says, “It’s a matter of great pride and celebration on how the world fought this deadly virus combined. The frontline workers laid down their lives and it’s a toast to them and their supreme sacrifice. Even during the worst time of the pandemic, the human spirit rose to the occasion and stood for all. Red Cross has done immense selfless service over the years and this time it was no different. It is their song and I am very proud to be associated with it. That’s who we are and it’s a dedication to them. It’s a real honor to work with such an institution which has done such selfless work as Red Cross.”
