Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about a shocking incident involving her and one of the directors in Hollywood. The Hustler's star spoke about her own #MeToo experience when a director once asked her to remove her top while off-set. She revealed that she was caught off guard at that moment as there was another woman in the room when he made that vile request.
During a roundtable discussion, with Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o and more, Jennifer Lopez stated, "He wanted to see my boobs. I said, ‘no,’ I stood up for myself. But it was so funny because I remember being so panicked at the moment.” She further stated, And by the way, there was a costume designer in the room with me. So there was another woman in the room and he says this and I said no.”
Jennifer revealed that she relied on her New York upbringing when she handled pervy requests. She further stated, “Luckily, a little bit of the Bronx came out, and I was like, ‘I don’t have to show you my — No. On the set, you see them.’”
She also spoke about how she set a precedent of what she wouldn’t do, which in turn served her well in the long run. She further explained that if she gave in the person would have thought they can do whatever they want. She stated, “And because I put up a little boundary right there and said no, he laid off and then later on apologized. But the minute he walked out of the room the costume designer was like, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry that just happened.'”
Though Jennifer opened up about the incident, she stayed tight-lipped, careful not to name names.
