The star-studded night on Sunday at the Beverly Hills saw a lot of Climate Change talks, especially during Joaquin Phoenix’s acceptance speech in which he pleaded celebrities to stop using “private jets”, a few drunk speeches and a lot of surprises. Brad Pitt gave an epic speech with a special mention to “partner in crime” Leonardo DiCaprio saying he would've saved him in Titanic as he won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Russell Crowe won an award for Best Acting award but was notably absent as he is currently in Australia battling the bushfire crisis. Olivia Colman won Best Actress in a Drama Series for The Crown, while Laura Dern was the only winner amongst the many nominations for the critically acclaimed movie Marriage Story. Like Chernobyl and Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag, Succession bagged two awards during the night. Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood won Best Motion Picture – comedy or musical and Best Screenplay.
