Extraction: Chris Hemsworth Starrer To Get A Sequel? Find Out

Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction released in April and is being hailed by the audiences and the critics. The action-packed film is directed by Sam Hargrave and is currently on Netflix. With the film receiving a positive response from all around it comes as no surprise that the sequel of the same is in works.

Joe Russo who happens to the co-director of the Avengers: Endgame and the producer of Extraction, will once again pen the script. Joe said, “The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be.”  He further added, “We’re not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience.”

There has not been any official announcement or confirmation about Chris Hemsworth and Sam Hargrave being a part of the upcoming sequel. But it will be interesting to see who will be cast for the same thrilling action-packed film.

Speaking of Extraction, the film also stars Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda in a small but pivotal role. The plot of the film revolves around Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) who is a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills are solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible, forever altering the lives of Rake and the boy. 

The thriller film is helmed by Sam Hargrave and bankrolled by Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca, Chris Hemsworth, Eric Gitter, and Peter Schwerin.
