The shooting of the Jurassic World: Dominion has been temporarily put on the back burner due to the coronavirus pandemic. The shooting of the movie has been going on in London since February, but the production of the film has hit the pause button over the weekend along with other Universal Pictures projects including Flint Strong and the untitled movie of Billy Eichner.

An official from the studios announced that the decision was made for the safety of all the people involved and hence the shoot has been delayed. It’s not known yet if the delay in the shoot will impact the release date of the movie. The movie was slated for the release of 21st June 2021.

Actors Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, along with franchise-original stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill, will return for the film.

Robert Pattinson-starrer The Batman also shut down production over Coronavirus scare for two weeks. The film helmed by Matt Reeves is the latest Hollywood film to halt the filming in the midst of the pandemic.

The sources reported, since January, the crew had been shooting on a sound stage in London and were preparing to change locations to Liverpool and in the midst of the virus scare, but the Warner Bros studio thought it was better to go on pause during the change of location.

It is unclear when the shoot will end and whether it will hinder the film's June 2021 release date, which is also starring Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Andy Serkis.

Warner Bros previously ceased the production of Elvis Presley film in Australia after Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were tested positive for the COVID-19.

Other two studio movies, Matrix 4 and King Richard have still not been put on hold.
