David Bryan, the keyboardist for the rock band Bon Jovi, has tested coronavirus positive. The 58-year-old artist revealed his condition in an Instagram post today.

The composer who won the Tony-Award said he felt sick for a week but felt better with every day that passes. "I just got my results back today and tested positive for coronavirus, I've been sick for a week and feeling better each day," Bryan wrote the caption.

David Bryan further wrote "Please don't be afraid!!! It's the flu, not the plague. I've been quarantined for a week and will for another week. And when I feel better I'll get tested again to make sure I'm free of this nasty virus. Please help out each other. This will be over soon... with the help of every American !!"

Bryan is the first member to be diagnosed with COVID-19 within the music industry. Among the artists who shared their experiences with coronavirus are singer-songwriter Charlotte Lawrence, producer Andrew Watt and gospel singer Sandi Patty, and chairman of the Universal Music Group / CEO Lucian Grainge was hospitalized after testing positive.
