A number of A-lister celebrities have been protesting alongside civilians and activists since George Floyd's death last week, including Ariana Grande and Halsey.

Floyd died after being kneeled at his feet for about eight minutes by Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin who is white.

The event was captured on camera, and widely shared on social media, sparking protests and marches around the country by the title Black Lives Matter. Since then, Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder. Protesters are trying to encourage more systemic and permanent solutions to police brutality.

Halsey was extremely vocal about changing social justice, posting photos and blogging live from the field, while protesting in Los Angeles.

The biracial, 25-year-old singer protested alongside her ex-boyfriend and close friend, YUNGBLUD, who she claims "literally ran exposed in front of rounds being shot to drag wounded people to safety without even thinking twice."

Indeed, Halsey has been praised by many fans and observers for using her platform to act even against racism, injustice, and inequality.

The famous internet celebrity, Elijah Daniel, called attention to Halsey 's actions on Twitter.

"halsey is doing incredible & that should be noted," he tweeted. "not for the press. not for attention, not with a group of bodyguards. on the frontline. helping injured people. THIS is how to use the platform your fans give you for good. if you are given a platform, it's for a reason. use it."

Grande also spotted holding a "Black Lives Matter" sign on the ground in Los Angeles and marched alongside her close friend, Doug Middlebrook, and boyfriend, Dalton Gomez.

The 26-year-old pop star brought in the peaceful side of the protest to media attention.

Other celebrity demonstrators in solidarity included J. Cole, Lauren Jauregui, Timothée Chalamet, Madison Beer, Machine Gun Kelly, Tinashe, Kali Uchis, Kehlani and Emily Ratajkowski.

Supporters are glad that some of their favorite artists use their voices to bring about social change and stood up against prejudice.
