The longtime on and off couple have decided to separate their ways. The news of the couple’s split up comes just after the supermodel’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, alleged that she and Malik had a physical dispute. The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star said that the 28-year-old singer ‘struck’ her last week and she is considering filing a police report over the alleged assault.
However, Malik swiftly denied it on social media earlier today. He took Twitter and said that he has ‘agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument’ and alleges the incident involved nothing more than an exchange of ‘harsh words.’ Although, Malik refrained from naming Yolanda in his lengthy Twitter post and, instead, referred to her as “a family member of my partner’s” as he expressed concern for how the public allegations may affect Khai (Zayn Malik daughter Khai) and her environment going forward.
In his lengthy Twitter post, Zayn described himself as a ‘private person’ and expressed obvious dismay over ‘private family matters’ being ‘thrown on the world stage.’ “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private,” Zayn Malik told TMZ.
However, no further details have been provided in regards to what may have triggered the alleged dispute between the two. Meanwhile, a rep of Gigi told E! News that the runway star “is solely focused on the best for Khai” and that “she asks for privacy during this time.”
The dating rumor of the couple first swirled the internet in 2015 when they were spotted leaving Justin Bieber’s American Music Award’s after-party holding hands. A few months later, Gigi was spotted wearing a Z necklace on her way to Paris Fashion Week as she flashed a photo of Zayn on her phone wallpaper. Meanwhile, Zayn Malik denied any romance rumors and said they are just ‘good friends.’ Later in May 2016, they confirmed what was already assumed as they walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet at fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala.

Later, in March 2018, Gigi and Zayn called it quits sharing his-and-hers tweets to confirm the split. Although, weeks later they were spotted together. However, a year after the couple called their relationship off again. Later in 2020, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik rekindled their romance again. Hadid and Malik welcomed their daughter Khai last fall.
