The film ‘The Last Thing He Wanted’, directed by Dee Rees based on a book of the same name by Jon Didion will be released on February 21st by Netflix in which Hathaway plays a veteran journalist and Dafoe, her dying father.

Speaking about the film, Hathaway told a leading magazine, “Very few actors get a map written for them by Joan Didion. And so between Joan’s point of view and director Dee Rees’ point of view, there wasn’t a whole lot for me to do except just ground down.”
