Andrew Garfield Reveals He Snuck Into Spider-Man Screening With Tobey Maguire: ‘No One Knew’

Andrew Garfield detailed how the fellow Peter Parker's watched No Way Home together in a packed theatre, and managed to remain completely undetected.

Andrew Garfield has recently revealed that he and his fellow Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire actually snuck into an opening night screening of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The 38-year-old actor detailed how the fellow Peter Parker’s watched their latest multiverse movie together in a packed theatre, and managed to remain completely undetected. “It was just a really beautiful thing to share together,” he recalled of the outing in conversation with ET while expressing his disbelief at pulling it off without a fan craze.

The Tick, Tick… Boom! star spoke about seeing the latest installment of the Marvel movie alongside Maguire, 46, who he called ‘my actual Spider-Man hero’ on opening night. “I still can’t believe it happened. I snuck into a theater on opening night and just watched with my baseball cap on and my mask. In fact, I was also with Tobey, I and Tobey snuck into a theater together and no one knew we were there,” he explained. “It was just a really beautiful thing to share together.”

Garfield continued to speak about his close bond with both Tobey and Tom Holland and how their legendary on-screen multiverse moment came to be which he confessed continues to blow his mind. “First and foremost, I am a fan, so when Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige and John Watts…pitched it, it was like I was the fans in the audience, watching it onscreen for the first time with like, the three Spider-Men across universes sharing a frame together.”

The Amazing Spider-Man actor went on saying, “And like, your head, your little head, it just explodes. So, that’s the main thing in me that I feel about it.” “The fact that I get to be one of those people wearing the suit next to my actual Spider-Man hero, Tobey Maguire, and the brilliant, incredibly talented, heartfelt, funny, good, sweet, perfect Spider-Man of Tom Holland… there’s something spiritual that kind of happened and happens,” Garfield added.

However, Andrew Garfield continued to share that regardless of whether or not he gets the chance to slip on the Spider-Man suit again, it will always be part of his being. Andrew Garfield played the titular character in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, whereas Tobey first carried the title in the first three installments of the Spider-Man film.
