Andrew Garfield Break Up With Girlfriend Alyssa After Losing An Oscar To Will Smith

Andrew Garfield and Alyssa Miller have been first linked last November after being spotted walking hand in hand.

Andrew Garfield and his model girlfriend Alyssa Miller have reportedly parted ways just days after he lost out on an Oscar to fellow nominee Will Smith. The Tick, Tick… Boom! actor and the American model only made their red carpet debut as a couple one month ago after first being linked late last year.

However, reports have suggested that the love has already burned out between the couple with the duo said to have agreed to go their separate ways. A source told The Sun, “Andrew and Alyssa were a really beautiful couple and things were going great at first. They were together for quite some time before they went public, but work schedules mean it has been really hard to see each other.”

Meanwhile, the source added, “On top of that, it became clear that there were some differences between them and it was decided they are better off apart, for now at least. “It was disappointing for Andrew because he’d have loved to have shared the excitement of the awards season with someone he loved, but it just wasn’t supposed to be.”

Andrew had been nominated for a Best Actor Oscar last weekend but lost out to Men In Black star who bagged the gong for his role as Richard Williams in the sports biopic, King Richard. The awards show was overshadowed, however, when Will made the shocking decision to storm the stage before he won an Oscar to slap Chris Rock square in the face after the comedian made a joke about Will’s wife.

The couple were spotted playing tennis together in February and a source told E! News at the time, “(They) were certainly happy in each other’s company and not hiding anything.” They had first been linked last November after being spotted walking through New York hand in hand. However, Alyssa previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal in 2014 and is said to have been briefly married to Tame Impala musician Cam Avery in 2018.
