Ana De Armas revealed that transforming into Marilyn Monroe for 'Blonde' took her 3-Hour and they have more than 100 wardrobe changes in the movie.

Ana de Armas details her extensive transformation into Marilyn Monroe for her new film, Blonde. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress said she spent three hours in the hair and makeup chair to portray the iconic character in the upcoming biopic. Talking about the physical transformation she underwent for the film, Ana De Armas said, “That was quite a journey every day. It was about three hours to get ready, every morning.”

She continues to the outlet, “We have an incredible crew of my hair and makeup team, and then Jennifer, our costume designer, was incredible too.” No Time To Die actress added, “We have more than 100 wardrobe changes in the movie, and they’re all so beautiful and iconic on everything. “Every detail is just, you know, perfect. So, it was really amazing.” However, while talking about the film, Armas called it a big production, spanning all 36 years of Monroe’s short life.

The Knives Out actress earned a 14-minute standing ovation following the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival. When asked about the monumental moment, de Armas called it “magical.” The actress gushed, “It was truly magical.” Blonde follows the rise to fame and the epic demise of actress Marilyn Monroe, one of the biggest stars in the world. The upcoming Netflix film is set to hit select theatres on September 16 and is scheduled to release on the streaming platform on September 28.

Ana de Armas recently channels Marilyn Monroe at the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming movie, Blonde. The actress looked stunning in a silver sequined Louis Vuitton halter gown. The neckline might’ve been a nod to Monroe, who wore an iconic white halter dress in 1955’s ‘The Seven Year Itch.’ De Armas previously channelled the late Hollywood icon in another plunging Louis Vuitton look, a pink pleated gown, at the Venice Film Festival premiere of the flick last week.
