Adele addressed the controversy surrounding her canceled Las Vegas shows as well as her plans for more children in a new interview on The Graham Norton Show. In a recent episode of the BBC One series the singer talked about her canceled Vegas dates for the first time, admitting her ‘regret’ at the last minute announcement as she insists it would have been a ‘half-a**ed show,’ if she had gone ahead.
Adele also promises the concerts will happen in 2022 as she plans to have a baby next year with her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul. While flashing the diamond ring, which sparked engagement rumors with Rich when she wore it at this week’s BRIT Awards, Adele remained reserved when Graham asked if it meant she is engaged, saying, “If I was would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”
Adele then mentioned her boyfriend again when Graham asked the singer what happened in Las Vegas. Last month the star tearfully told fans she could not go ahead with the residency less than a day before her scheduled debut show at Caesars Palace. The singer explained, “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time.” “I regret that I kept going until that late in the day. It would have been a really half-arsed show and I can’t do that.”
However, Adele assured fans that her Las Vegas Residency will surely be going to happen this year because she has other plans for next year. Meanwhile, on asked if she will vanish again after Vegas, and if so, for how long, she said, “I definitely will but I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy.”
Adele continues, “I’m trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off. I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won’t be in complete hiding.” However, Easy On Me singer again hinted at family plans, saying, “It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son.”
