Indian origin actor Mindy Kaling has added multiple feathers in her cap as a screenwriter, comedian, television producer, television director and author. Also, she is a very successful American actress who is known for giving exceptional stellar performances with her mind-blowing acting in super successful Fox / Hulu comedy series “The Mindy Project” (2012-2017).
She first gained fame and recognition across the globe for her mesmerizing portrayal of Kelly Kapoor in NBC’s “The Office” (2005-2013). She is also the brain behind creating the NBC Sitcom “The Champion” (2018).
The creative person behind the hit and critically acclaimed Hulu mini-series Four weddings and a funeral (2019) and also the person behind the hit summer series on Netflix “Never Have I Ever” (2020) which has also been renewed for a season 2.
Recently, during an interview with a leading Indian news agency, Mindy Kaling said that she loves both Deepika and Sonam for they both are the actors she would love working with in the future.
When the news agency asked Mindy about her dream project and if she wants to work in Bollywood, she said, “I would love to work with Sonam Kapoor or Deepika Padukone. They’re both so talented”.
Also, when questioned about her upcoming projects, Mindy said that she is currently working and collaborating with Priyanka Chopra at the moment in an upcoming wedding comedy film.
Further, while explaining about her experience of working with Priyanka Mindy said, “Priyanka is so smart. It’s been wonderful working with her”.
About her upcoming film project with Priyanka Mindy says that, “I just finished the script. The movie takes place in New York and India. She and I have such a funny dynamic in it, I can’t wait to make it”.
The film is set around the plot of a big fat Indian wedding that takes place and the Indian American cultural clashes that keep on happening further is what would be interesting to watch in this movie.
Mindy was last seen in the Netflix summer hit original series “Never Have I Ever” (2020) which is a coming of the age quirky slice of life series that depicts the story of an Indian teenager growing up in the US. The series has been renewed for a second season after the huge critical and commercial success of the first part.
