The 32-year-old pop singer Aaron Carter is now engaged with his off-again, on-again girlfriend, that he revealed on June 12 with a picture of Melanie rocking her round shaped diamond ring. Aaron quoted the sweet photo as “Love wins,” and added # iloveyou3000, # engaged, # fiance and # ourlovestory in the hashtags.
The news was a little shocking considering that, just four days ago, Aaron revealed that after a sudden burst of emotions, he and Melanie were “back together.” That announcement came with heartbreaking news too though that Melanie suffered from a miscarriage.
During a recording of a live YouTube stream with Melanie, which he shared with Instagram, Aaron revealed. “She suffered a miscarriage due to stress conditions. We’re gonna give it some time, let her heal and then we’re going to try again. We both want that. I gotta take care of her.”
The engagement after months of rough patches is positive news. Melanie was arrested at Aaron ‘s home in March in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident but they still got back together and announced their pregnancy news in April 2020. Then, apparently, in May Aaron moved briefly on to Viktoria Alexeeva.
Fortunately, Aaron and Melanie leave the past behind them — which is proved by the engagement ring above. “We’re moving onto the future. She’s going to do what she has to do,” Aaron said on June 8, during the shared YouTube Livestream. Aaron also revealed his plans to attend therapy for couples.
“She was very open and honest about everything that transpired in the last six weeks,” Aaron said. “There’s nothing you can send me or do that I don’t already know, nor do I give a f–k. You’re not going to interfere with this relationship. Even if Melanie did try to go for a rebound, that was her prerogative. She had every right to do that.”
