Here’s What Supreme Court Said On Quarantining Bihar Cop In SSR Case

A few days ago, Patna City SP Vinay Tiwari was quarantined by the BMC when he reached Mumbai to investigate the case of Sushant Singh Rajput. This fumed Bihar Police and everybody seeking justice for Sushant Singh Rajput. Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey had tweeted on Aug 2, “IPS officer Vinay Tiwari reached Mumbai today from Patna on official duty to lead the police team there but he has been forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11 PM today. He was not provided accommodation in the IPS mess, despite request, and was staying in a Guest House in Goregaon.” After the request of Bihar government, the Centre has intervened. Sushant’s case has been handed over to CBI and Supreme Court has directed Mumbai Police to submit a report on its investigation so far. Speaking of the forced quarantine, Supreme Court said, “Quarantining of the Bihar Police officer has not sent good message despite the fact that Mumbai Police has good professional reputation.”
