Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the cinema buffs were waiting for the announcement of a new movie and it seems like their wish has been granted. Back in 2019, Excel Entertainment reportedly roped in Katrina Kaif alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi for a horror-comedy titled Phone Bhoot.
Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar has finally dropped the first photoshoot look of the movie featuring the three main leads. The announcement was awaited from the makers and the fans are surely elated by the news.
Farhan Akhtar took to his social media handles to announce that Phone Bhoot is all set to release in 2021. The photoshoot look features Katrina, Siddhant and Ishaan dressed in a black tux and making funny faces.
During a recent interaction with Ishaan Khatter, he had spilled the beans on the movie and said that he is very excited for the same. He also mentioned that the script of the movie is an absolute blast, and said that he will provide more information about the same when things move forward.
Speaking on behalf of his co-star Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan said that the Gully Boy fame hasn’t confirmed or denied the same yet, hence he will also do the same. However, Ishaan dropped a hint that something special is in the store.

This will be for the first time that the three actors will share the screen space. While Katrina has done two films with Excel Entertainment- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Baar Baar Dekho, this will be Siddhant’s third collaboration after Inside Edge and Gully Boy.
The upcoming horror-comedy will be bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and actor Farhan Akhtar. The film will be helmed by Gurmeet Singh and the script will be penned by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath.
The shooting of Phone Bhoot will begin later this year and the film is scheduled for a 2021 release.
