Aditya Pancholi, a famous actor, and producer had a good name in the industry. While he was in his era of acting, Aditya was known to be one of the most handsome actor of that period, with many girls crushing on him. Over the years he has always managed to maintain himself. His aura, his personality has always been at the top. But there came a moment in his life, after which Aditya Pancholi was never seen on that side of the camera. Almost 6 to 7 years ago, Aditya Pancholi swore to not do movies in his life as a character artist, and never came back on the big screens after that. In a recent interaction with Lehren Retro, Aditya Pancholi’s wife Zarina Wahab, spilled an unheard story that nobody knew about. She revealed how the veteran actor Shammi Kapoor led to the end of Pancholi’s acting career.

When Aditya Pancholi Swore To Never Work In Films
Zarina recalled how Aditya narrated her an incident while he was working alongside Shammi Kapoor. A lavish room in a bungalow was setup to get Pancholi ready for one of his scenes. Moments later he realised that Shammi Kapoor, who will be performing alongside him was made to sit outside around the garden. Shammi’s makeup was being done around the bushes and he was not brought to the room like Pancholi. This disheartened Pancholi to the core. Even when he tried calling the remarkable star inside, he received a “NO” .
This incident disgusted Aditya Pancholi, making him think how harsh the industry could be with actors who performed as character artists. Zarina too stressed on the fact that the vision changes when a well-off hero starts performing as character artists. It was that day when Aditya Pancholi vowed to not work anymore in movies. As Zarina quotes his lines, “Jab mai Character Artiste banne jaunga, I will not work. Jab Shammi Ji ke saath aisa kar sakte hai to hum kaun hai”.
Talking about his work, Pancholi last appeared in Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, and thereafter rejected when Heeramandi was offered, committing to his words of vow. Zarina and Aditya are married from 36 years and have relished a bond over these decades.
