Finally the weekend box office collection for Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency gives her a sense of relief. Her latest historical biographical drama EMERGENCY saw an uptick in footfall and box office collections on Sunday, following a sluggish start during its initial two days in theatres.
Emergency Box Office Collection: Day 3
The film with a failed opening box office collection saw a subtle rise in its Sunday’s earnings. The film Emergency, which is a biographical drama on the life of former Prime Minister of India, Late Smt. Indira Gandhi – managed to earn more than both the opening days’ collection. However, the growth seems slow but the film is gradually raising up to hit the mark of two digit figures for its box office weekend collection.
Industry reporter Sacnilk reveals that the film Emergency has earned a total of Rs. 4.35 crores, which almost doubles up the amount of the film’s opening day collection at the box office. The India net collection for the film over the weekend run reached upto 10.45 crores, which is ideally better than average. Produced by Zee Studios, Kangana’s film failed to garner the attention they seeked for, but the collections did not dip over the weekend.
The film Emergency clashed with debutants Rasha Thadani and Amaan Devgan’s film Azaad. Although this Abhishek Kapoor directorial also failed to do well in the theatres, but audience was surprised to see the 19 year old teeager Rasha outperform herself at the big screens. Her item number ‘Uuyi Amma’ drew everybody’s attention but eventually the movie was not a good watch.
