Prominent South Korean actor Son Ye-Jin is all set to mark her big-budget Hollywood debut with Avatar fame Sam Worthington in the movie Cross. Reportedly, the film has been in development for over a decade now, director Andrew Niccol took inspiration from Korea to make Cross, as Korea is an only divided nation in the world.
According to Son’s agency, the actor has given her consideration for the film and they are in the final negotiation. If everything is confirmed, Son will be playing the female lead in the film, while Sam will play her counterpart.

Reportedly, Oscar-winning South Korean film Parasite actor Lee Sun-Kyun is also considered for a role, even his agency confirmed the news and they are currently considering the offer.
Furthermore, the film will be partly shot in South Korea to get the essence of the culture. The production is likely to go on floors by early 2021, the film is touted to be a Sci-Fi thriller. Interestingly, Andrew himself approached Son to star in the film, now we can hope Son accepts the offer as her popularity has skyrocketed post her recent show Crash Landing On You opposite Hyun Bin.
