With the theatres and cinema halls across the nation being shut due to the lockdown orders, OTT platforms garnered a lot of importance. Many contents yet to be fully explored by the mainstream Bollywood movies being present on the digital medium made these platforms popular among the masses.
Apart from that many filmmakers also opted to take the OTT route to release their movies, and the response these films got was phenomenal. Now, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is also heading to OTT with two ventures in his kitty. One of these projects includes the Class Of ’83.
Speaking of Class Of ’83, it is being bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and helmed by Atul Sabharwal. The plot of the story is based on a book by author Hussain Zaidi. The film will be premiering on Netflix.
The streaming-giant recently announced that the film will be premiered on the platform on August 21, 2020. Netflix also shared a new poster of the film with Bobby Deol nailing the cop look.
In the much-awaited film, Bobby Deol essays the role of Dean Vijay Singh. The plot of the film is about a hero policeman shunted to a punishment posting as the Dean of the police academy decides to punish the corrupt bureaucracy and its criminal allies in return by training five lethal assassin policemen. But, like all good plans, it only works for a while until the fire that he has ignited threatens to burn his own house down.
The film also features Annup Soni, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Hitesh Bhojraj alongside Bobby Deol.
