Friday, July 26th marked a day of grief for Farah Khan and Sajid Khan. The brother-sister duo lost their mother, Menka Irani yesterday as she passed away after going through a prolonged illness.
While multiple celebrities mourned the 79 year old’s demise, film maker Zoya Akhtar turned out to instagram recalling the golden days she encountered with Menka Irani. Zoya Akhtar is Farah’s first cousin. Both of them are quite connected to each other’s family. This was also seen in Zoya’s recent instagram post where she shared a throwback picture of her aunt Menka, and wrote a gratitude-filled note for her.
Zoya penned, “Menka Aunty ♥️ You shaped my life in ways I will be eternally grateful for. You have made me read, and laugh, you made me listen to country music 😊 and you made me feel like the most special girl in the world. You will always be adored and never be forgotten. Rest in peace. Rest in Power ♥️ @menkakhan“
The director’s post saw comments from multiple celebrities mourning the death. This included Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabella Kaif, Amrita Arora, Delnaaz Irani and many.
Farah Khan ‘s Mother Passed Away At 79
Few weeks ago, Farah Khan had shared a birthday post for her mom, Menka Irani revealing that her mom has underwent multiple surgeries and is finally back now. Last evening, her mother’s health finally gave up due to the recurring surgeries.
