Yaariyan 2: A Bangalore Days Remake Starring Meezaan Jafri As Dalquer Salmaan

Meezaan Jafri to join Divya Khosla Kumar and Pearl V Puri In Yaariyan 2 which will be a remake of Bangalore Days

The sequel to the 2014 hit Yaariyan is on cards and it is reported that it will be a remake of the Malayalam hit film Bangalore Days. We have learned that Meezaan Jafri will step in the shoes of Dalquer Salmaan’s character from the Malayalam romance drama. Read on to know more details surrounding the second part of Yaariyan.

Yaariyan was a directorial hit by Divya Khosla Kumar starring Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh, and Evelyn Sharma in the lead roles. This romance drama of five friends was a box office success and was loved by the youth. After eight years Divya Khosla Kumar is gearing up for the sequel. This time Divya will act in the movie alongside Pearl V Puri who will make a Bollywood debut after television shows.

According to Hindustan Times reports, Meezaan Jafri will join Divya and Pearl in Yaariyan 2. This would be Meezaan’s third film after Malaal and Hungama 2. The movie is said to be a story of three cousins moving into a city together. The flick is set in the Himachal city Shimla, where the team has already shot the first schedule and will continue to shoot in Mumbai.

A source close to the development revealed, “Divya wanted to remake Bangalore Days for a really long time. Yaariyan is all about bonds and camaraderie, so it seemed perfect to have the remake as the sequel. The team has already shot for the first schedule in Shimla. The second schedule is currently on floors in Mumbai.”

It is alleged that Meezaan Jafri has got on board to play one of the primary cousins in the second part of Yaariyan. Divya Khosla Kumar always wanted to remake Bangalore Days and it is happening soon. Jafri will essay the role of Dalquer Salmaan in the Hindi remake, while Puri will play Nivin Pauly’s character and Divya will get in the shoes of Nazriya Kamal from the original.

Bangalore Days is one of the much-applauded films in Malayalam and by superstar Dalquer Salmaan. The film won three Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. It would be a treat to fans as the hit film is to be remade in Hindi.
