With 30 years in the industry, the actor has never failed to impress his fans with his tremendous hard work and blockbuster hit movies. From DDLJ’s Raj to Chak De India’s Kabir Khan, the actor has adapted all different characters proving to be one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. While celebrating Shahrukh’s 30 years in our hearts and in Bollywood we’ll take a look at some of his most iconic looks so far.

  1. Devdas- A Heartbroken Lover

The 2002 film featured Bollywood’s megastar as a heartbroken lover which still remains in the memories of many. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial film ‘Devdas’ featured Shahrukh as a wealthy London-based graduate who returns to India to his parents so that he can marry his childhood sweetheart Paroo (played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). However, destiny had some different plans for both and due to the stark difference in their status, his family refuses to accept Paro and Devdas’ relationship, which eventually leads him into depression and alcoholism. While he is undergoing emotional turmoil, he finds comfort in the arms of a good-hearted courtesan Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit).

2. Chak De India- A Cocky Coach

In the 2007 released film, Chak De India, the actor played the role of a cocky yet supportive coach of the Indian women’s hockey team. The storyline features Kabir Khan taking sit upon himself to train the women’s hockey team that has immense potential but no unity while playing. The team constitutes of 16 young women from different states and backgrounds, which means they have cultural differences. Kabir makes them realize the importance of team effort and eventually they play for the World Cup and win the final match. The film and the role of SRK got much love and appreciation from the fans.

3. My Name Is Khan- Rizwan A Distinctive Guy

My Name Is Khan, a film that cannot be missed, a film that bought tears into the eyes of many. While the character was not the only highlight the film itself has been very impactful among the fans. The most iconic dialogue “My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist” never fails to give the chills and is one of the dialogues which none of us can ever forget. The film features Rizwan, a man with Asperger’s syndrome, who marries Mandira. When unfortunate events unfold after the twin tower attacks, he embarks on a journey to change people’s perception of his community.

4. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge- The Loverboy

Talking about Shahrukh and missing out on DDLJ? That’s not possible. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is a film that still rule our hearts. The film has completed 27 years while there are still cinemas that feature this unforgettable film. SRK’s Raj was the second generation NRI, who secretly respected the cultural values of his father. And the audience loved the fact that he turned from a rich brat into someone, who so much respects the father of the girl he loves, that he can’t dream of eloping with her without his permission.

5. Darr- The Obsessive Lover

Except for all hero and lover vibes, Shahrukh also pulled off his villain role in the film Darr. The anti-hero was never a hit with the Indian audience. Shah Rukh broke the jinx with his flawed lover act in Darr. His catchphrase K…K…K…Kiran from Darr was lapped up by the youth. The actor played the role of an obsessive lover who will do almost anything to win over his lady who in this case is Juhi Chawla. In the film, Shahrukh Plays the role of Rahul who is obsessed with Kiran and stalks her constantly. However, Rahul goes berserk when she gets engaged to Sunil, a navy officer, and he decides to forcefully claim Kiran for himself.
