Ajay Devgn is credited to be amongst the top stars of Bollywood known for his intense acting skills, high-octane action stunts & humorous comic timing. Making his debut in the Hindi Film Industry with Phool Aur Kaante in the year 1991 and winning hearts, Devgn has established himself as the Singham of Bollywood who also makes people laugh by doing lot’s of Golmaal on the silver screen.
During initial days of his career & till mid 2000’s, Ajay’s name was spelled and featured as ‘Ajay Devgan’ on his film posters, credits & interviews as he carry forwarded the legacy of his legendary father and esteemed action director, Veeru Devgan Sahab! But the Shivaay Star changed the spelling of his surname from ‘Devgan’ to ‘Devgn’ by omitting the letter ‘A’ from the same. As per media reports, It is believed that Ajay agreed to change the spelling of his last name at the behest of his mother Veena Ji, whereas few sources state that the same was done due to some personal astrological & numerological reasons for the benefit of films, family & well being. This change of alphabets was first observed back then in 2009 when Ajay’s hit comedy venture, All The Best released! Fun Fact: Ajay’s birthname was ‘Vishal’ before the Drishyam Man entered Film Industry in 90’s.
As time flies, it’s 2025 now and Ajay Devgn’s tremendous & talented nephew Aaman Devgan is set to make his daunting debut with the Abhishek Kapoor directorial, Azaad! Aaman has opted for the surname ‘Devgan’ unlike his Mamu Ajay ‘Devgn’ in turn adding an extra ‘A’ letter to the title! That’s one point which isn’t common between the Mama-Bhanja Jodi! The second uncommon thing being, Aaman has got some real-refreshing bang-on dance steps in his skill-set which can give you some Prabhu Deva feels through the ‘Birangay’ track! However Ajay sir’s dance is also one of a kind! it’s better to focus on his action, comedy & mind-boggling box office collections as Dance & Ajay Devgn are like Tom & Jerry bond, Hahaha! However, Aaman Devgan was earlier known as Aaman Gandhi (his paternal surname), the young lad went ahead with his Mom Neelam’s surname – Devgan, to make a glorious mark in the industry with his magnum opus debut Azaad, which also features Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo!
Azaad also stars the blissful beauty Rasha Thadani, who’s also set to make her mega entry in B-Town, following the footsteps of her star-mom, Raveena Tandon! The movie hits the silver-screens on 17th January, 2025 in turn introducing new faces this new years!
