Next-generation Bollywood has steadily found its way to the silver screen, with actresses like Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria all making their debut in recent times. Now we have the next newbie, Alaia Furniturewalla, who prefers to go by Alaia F.
This young actor was first caught the eyeballs when she was seen posing at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match with Saif Ali Khan in India vs. Pakistan, holding up the Indian flag to express support to the winning team.

After a long time, the coming-of-age film also sees Khan teaming up with Tabu on-screen as his ex-wife, and is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Nitin Kakkar. Pooja Bedi expressing the beginning of her daughter in the industry posted a picture of the duo a while back with a sweet message, reads, “My daughter Alaia with Saif Ali Khan at the world cup match in London. Perfect start to their shoot together for her Debut film #jawaanijaaneman . He plays her dad.. and this was shot on fathers day. Best of luck for beautiful new beginnings.”
Alaya F always wanted to be a part of film fraternity but not as an actor but as a director. She went to New York University (NYU) to study direction. Soon after that, she realized she wants to make her career in acting and switched.
“Soon after, I switched to acting and enrolled myself at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). On the first day, I realized that everybody was so experienced. Someone had done a Broadway play, someone had done television..and when I had to introduce myself, I said, ‘Hi, I am Alaya and I have never done a second of acting in my life but I hope to learn from all you amazing people.’ Then, on my first day when I did a little bit of acting I knew that I had chosen the right career,” she stated.
Alaya F has also been in headlines recently for having her clear views on nepotism. The debutant in an interview slammed Ananya Panday’s nepotism answer saying that while the other debutants didn’t have an adequate response defending nepotism.
“We need to realise that even in our struggle, we are privileged. If we got rejected in 10 auditions, someone else has got the thumbs down 100 times”, she said.
Talking about her personal life she is the daughter of Pooja Bedi and granddaughter of Kabir Bedi. the actress does not fear questions regarding her parents, with confidence she believes keeping it real and clear. She had mentioned to the news publishing house and opened the door to her personal life. After 16 years Pooja Bedi had found love and will tie the knot with Maneck Contractor. She said that the two share a strong relationship and that they have no ill-feeling about anything when about Pooja Bedi getting married to her long time boyfriend Maneck.
