When Anupam Kher Met Dilip Kumar For The First Time On The Sets Of Karma

After the demise of Dilip Kumar, actor Anupam Kher pays a tribute and recalls the time he spent with him.

The demise of legendary actor Dilip Kumar has left a void in the hearts of every cinema lover. Actor Anupam Kher posted a video message and mentioned that he will live on forever. He also said that the first film he ever watched was of Dilip Kumar and how he broke his nose while buying a ticket amid the crowd.

Anupam Kher first met Dilip Kumar on the sets of the 1986 film Karma. The film had a stellar cast of Dilip Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nutan, Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah, Sridevi, Poonam Dhillon and Anupam Kher. Anupam recalls that the first time he saw Dilip Kumar, he stared at him for one hour. Anupam says that Dilip Kumar was his mentor and his inspiration. It was because of him that he decided to come into the Bollywood industry. Anupam says that when Dilip Kumar praised him for the first time, he felt that he had achieved everything in life.

Sharing the video, Anupam wrote in the caption, “There is and there will always be a part of #DilipKumar Saab in every Indian actor for generations to come. #DilipSaab will continue to live for centuries by the sheer magic of his performances. Thank you Sir for those amazing times I spent in your presence. You taught me so much about life, living and acting.”

Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 due to old age-related health issues. He had a career spanning five decades in the Hindi film industry.
