On the possibility of making Main Hoon Na 2, Farah said to IANS over the phone, “I hope and pray that it is made because I have an idea for it. It all depends if Shah Rukh (Shah Rukh Khan)… he needs to be wanting to do that right now.”
She also said “I had a very good idea for part two. The film keeps coming on channels and people are still loving it.”
The Shah Rukh-starrer, released in 2004, told the tale of Major Ram, who goes as a college student to save the daughter of a general from a rogue soldier and fulfills the wish of his dying father to reconcile with his family.
It had subtle undertones of the rivalry between India and Pakistan. The film also stars Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao, and Zayed Khan. Farah is making her debut with Mrs. Serial Killer in the web series which she is creating for now. The film is being directed by her husband Shirish Kunder and stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
Besides this, Farah Khan has revealed in a recent podcast that she has deliberately ensured that the protagonist of Main Hoon Na is not a Muslim. She also shared some facts regarding the film.
