Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri reacts to reports comparing R Madhavan's film Rocketry with Kashmir files, Saying'I wish this happens'.

R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been creating quite a buzz among the netizens since its release on 1 July 2022. Soon after the film went down in theatres the early watchers shared their reactions to the film while many film analysts and reports compared the film with Vivek Agnihotri’s Kashmir Files, to which the Director responded with a tweet, check out the story here-

Kashmir Files director, Vivek Agnihotri responded to the predictions made by trade analysts and reports. He took to his Twitter account and wrote, “From the bottom of my heart, I wish this happens and I am sure it will happen because @ActorMadhavan is one of the most honest actor. For those who don’t know he was one of the finest debaters and a true patriot.” While it is believed that the film will gain momentum and success with word of mouth just as The Kashmir Files did.

On Friday many early watchers shared their reactions over the internet. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel wrote, “SUBLIME biopic made on one of the greatest scientist of India. Film is profoundly engaging & informative.@ActorMadhavan EXCELLS,did a phenomenal job on both acting & direction front. Mr Nambi legacy is inspirational & injustice done to him was heartbreaking.”

Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial film, ‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the killings and exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the valley in the 1990s. Starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and Darshan Kumaar, the film had a slow start at the box office, earning just ₹3.5 crores on its opening day. Meanwhile, in just a few days, the film took a major jump through word of mouth, reaching as high as ₹26 crores on day 9. The film became one of the first Bollywood films to cross the ₹300-crore barrier during the pandemic.

On the other hand, R Madhavan’s film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, features the story of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely charged with espionage in 1994. The film chronicles Nambi Narayanan’s early days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the espionage allegations against him. R Madhavan directed Rocketry The Nambi Effect was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and English. Meanwhile, for the film actor Madhavan donned a director’s hat for the first time, interestingly he also wrote the story, produced, and acted in the film. The film is also dubbed in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
