Vir Das Makes Bold Statements About Donald Trump And Elon Musk At International Emmy Awards

Actor-comedian Vir Das has already made a history this year by becoming the first-ever Indian artist to be hosting the International Emmy Awards. The actor was invited this week in New York as the show host and what has come out as his performance is truly beyond expectations. Vir Das made up hilarious, sarcastic remarks on the recently chosen President of the US, Donald Trump as well as the tech billionaire, Elon Musk.

Vir Das’ monolgue did the entertainment, while the viewers took a back seat to enjoy it all. As he began with, he said, “It is very good to be here completely legally. I’m not a citizen. It’s a very quick visit, in and out. I was just here to vote.” He highlighted this fact to prick the immigrants who opted to vote Trump. But, it had not ended here, his best of the statements were saved to take a jibe at the entrepreneur Elon Musk. Vir Das continued, “You have picked someone to lead you, to make all of your decisions and be the most powerful person in the world, and I think you chose well. Yes, he says erratic things, but he’s intelligent, successful, and an amazing businessperson. Guys, Elon Musk is a legend.”

Continuing further, he stressed on the fact that Elon Musk looks at the US Presidency in the same way as he looks at Tesla, quoting further, “Technically it’s self-driving, but ultimately, I have control,”  Vir Das chose for an indirect mockery towards Elon Musk’s leading control over Trump’s governance and having to hold a hugepart in the same.
