Vikrant Massey’s sudden announcement of his retirement from acting has left fans and the entertainment world in shock. While fans are still processing the news his Haseen Dillruba co-star Harshvardhan Rane has added fuel to the discussion by suggesting that the move might be part of a PR strategy.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Harshvardhan Rane praised Vikrant’s work ethic and expressed his admiration for the actor’s craft. He shared, “He is a man with a clear and centered thought process. I respect his work ethic and look up to his acting process on Haseen Dillruba’s shoot. Hope he gets back to making films like Aamir Khan sir also did after making a similar announcement.”
Rane further speculated that external pressures might have influenced Vikrant’s decision. “These are great artists, and our country needs their presence in our cinema. I’m praying this is just some PR activity forced on him by some filmmaker,” he added.

On December 2, Vikrant Massey took to Instagram at midnight to announce his retirement. In his heartfelt post, he thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout his career. “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it is time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father, and son. And also as an actor,” he wrote.
The actor revealed that 2025 would mark the end of his acting career and expressed gratitude to his fans, concluding, “Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.”
