After the much-anticipated film, Liger opened up to a disappointing performance at the box office, the executive director of Gaiety Galaxy, Manoj Desai’s video of bashing the South superstar Vijay Deverakonda was going viral, in which he claimed of having suffered a huge loss in advance bookings because of Vijay’s statement on the boycott trends.
Blaming the actor for his financial loss, Manoj Desai said, “Why are you showing smartness by saying ‘Boycott our movie’? People won’t even watch on OTT. Such behavior of yours has put us in trouble and impacted our advance bookings. Mr. Vijay, you are anaconda not ‘Konda Konda’. You are talking like an anaconda. ‘Vinaash kaale vipareet buddhi’, when the time of destruction inches closer, the mind stops working, and you are doing that. anyways, it’s your wish.”
Mentioning Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha he said, “Mr. Vijay, it seems, you have become arrogant, ‘Watch the movie or if you don’t wish to then don’t watch, haven’t you seen its impact? If the audience will not watch, see what Taapsee Pannu, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar are going through. I had high expectations from the movie, but such statements during the interview have had harsh impacts. One shouldn’t do this and never pay heed to hashtags.”
While now a few pictures of the two are making rounds on the internet in which the South actor could be seen touching the feet of the theatre owner while later they both shares a hug. While as per the reports it is said that this time the theatre owner was all praise for the South actor. As per news18 reports, Manoj Desai said, “He (Vijay) is a really very nice guy, down to earth, I will keep loving him always. He has got a bright future and I promise hereby, I will take all his pictures. I wish him all the best”.
Reacting to the pictures a netizen wrote, “He legit went out of the way to clear the misunderstanding.” Another user wrote, “You cannot please everyone,” another one said, “This is like too much drama”. While as per the latest reports, the South superstar Vijay Deverakonda will soon be seen promoting his film Liger in Dubai at AsiaCup.
