IIFA 2022: The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2022, held at the Yas Island of Abu Dhabi witnessed a star-studded night as Bollywood’s major celebrities graced the night of the event making it no less than the Gala itself. While during the award a few actors like Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon stole the light as they bagged awards for their performances. Various actors from the Bollywood were spotted this year at the IIFA award night, the list included Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Nora Fatehi, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Pankaj Tripathi among others were spotted during the starry night. However, Uri actor Vicky Kaushal and actress Kriti Sanon stole the light as both the actors were awarded with the best actor and actress award during the night. Vicky Kaushal got awarded for his performance in the film Sardar Udham while Kriti Sanon got awarded for her performance in Mimi.
Sardar Udham actor Actor Vicky Kaushal also shared a picture on his Instagram account, in the picture the actor was seen hugging his award in the car as he slept in the car, sharing the picture with his fans Vicky wrote, “Behind all that jazz it’s that boy who once thought everything he wished to achieve was all too far. Waited for you since forever… not leaving you tonight!” He further thanked Shoojit and added, “Thank You @shoojitsircar for believing in me and making it possible for me and thank you Team #SardarUdham, this one’s for all of us. For everyone who voted for this win, I love you!”.
Meanwhile, apart from the two, Sidharth Malhotra starrer biographical war film Shershaah, which was based on the real-life story of Captain Vikram Batra was awarded the Best Picture and its director Varadhan was awarded Best Director. Pankaj Tripathi got awarded with the Best Actor in a Supporting role in the film LUDO. Best Debut male was awarded to Ahan Shetty and the best female debut was given to Sharvari Wagh for Bunty Aur Babli 2. The IIFA awards night was hosted by Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Maniesh Paul.
On the work front, Vicky, who was last seen in Sardar Udham, will next star in Govinda Naam Mera alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pedneker. He also has Laxman Utekar’s untitled movie with Sara Ali Khan and Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur in the pipeline. While Kriti Sanon Kriti was recently seen in Farhad Samji’s Bachchhan Paandey alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. She now has Shehzada with Kartik Aaryan in the pipeline. Kriti will be reuniting with Tiger Shroff in Ganapath.
