Roadies fame Varun Sood is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Dharma Production’s “Jug Jug Jeeyo”. He has won hearts by making an imprint in reality shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla, Ace of Space, and Khatron Ke Khiladi. The actor was the strongest contestant in the latter show hosted by Rohit Shetty. Earlier, he was also signed up by Karan Johar’s talent management agency.
Walking in the acting world Varun Sood, who is a basketball player, will begin his Bollywood journey with a cameo role. After building up his name in reality shows he is now all set for acting in Bollywood. Varun Sood is ecstatic about his debut as recorded by IANS he said, “It is a strange sensation. Every aspiring actor dreams of being a part of a Karan Johar film, and I’m no exception. My heart is filled with gratitude, and I thank my lucky stars for this opportunity.”
The basketball player and reality show fame added, “For me, there is no such thing as a small or big role. I am just fortunate that I have now become a part of this industry. Working with the cast and crew of Jugjugg Jeeyo was a blast, and being directed by Raj Mehta was an eccentric experience.”
Varun will be seen as a cameo in Jug Jugg Jeeyo which also stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions.
Karan Johar’s talent management company DCA – Dharma Cornerstone Agency brought Varun Sood on board after signing Shanaya Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Nushrratt Bharuccha among others. Karan Johar’s talent management company DCA made the announcement on their Instagram handle. Welcoming the actor onboard DCA talent shared a video of him getting a photoshoot done, and wrote, “From Roadies to #JugJuggJeeyo, make way for digital sensation @varunsood12 as he embarks on his acting journey! A big warm welcome to Varun as he joins the DCA family! #DCASquad.”
On being signed by KJo’s talent agency, Varun thanked the filmmaker and the agency for believing in him. He said, “I am startled and screaming with joy. For now, I am just getting started, and the hard work and hustle will only become tougher from here on. But I am ready for the fight since cults like Karan Johar believe in me.”
