Varun Dhawan is basking in the success of his latest released film titled Bhediya. Reportedly, he will next star in Anees Bazmee’s action comedy film. In 10 years of his career, the actor has done quite a few comedy movies but didn’t work with Anees Bazmee who is the master of this genre.
Now, pushing Kartik Aaryan and Vicky Kaushal behind Varun Dhawan will headline a comedy film helmed by Anees Bazmee. According to reports Aaryan and Kaushal were approached earlier for the new project but they turned down the offer. Later when the director contacted the Badlapur actor he agreed.
According to Etimes reports, Anees Bazmee Kartik Aaryan was Bazmee’s first choice. However when the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor was not convinced the director approached Vicky Kaushal eventually he also rejected the deal. The actor who loved the role and agreed to do the film was Varun Dhawan.
As per Pinkvilla reports, “Varun and Anees are in talks to team up for the first time next year. Anees has been working to develop a one of its kind action comedy, and Varun has shown interest in this subject because it’s unique yet an out-and-out entertainer. He is waiting to hear the final narration and once that happens, the team would proceed to do the paperwork.”
The report also suggests that in this film Bazmee will explore a new space in comedy and the comic gags will be new for the Indian audiences. The film will be produced by Vishal Rana of Echelon Productions and Zee Studios. The project remains untitled as of now and all details are kept tightly under wraps. No other information has been received from the makers.
Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee is in the headlines for refusing to direct Hera Pheri 3 for reasons well known to him. Reports tell that his dates aren’t available also the producer Firoz Nadiadwala owes him Rs 2 crores. Hence, the real reason is still unknown.
On the other hand, Varun Dhawan was last seen in Bhediya with Kriti Sanon. Next in the pipeline, he has Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor.
