Varun Dhawan Believes Karan Johar Is ‘Misinterpreted’ & ‘Judged’ For His Personality

Koffee With Karan: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar recently welcomed JugJugg Jeeyo actors Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor on his chat show Koffee With Karan. During the latest episode of the show, Student Of The Year actor Varun Dhawan was seen siding Karan Johar and telling that the filmmaker has often been “misinterpreted” and “judged” by the people.

Varun Dhawan Sides Karan Johar Says He Has Been “Misinterpreted”

In the latest episode of Koffee With Karan, Student Of The Year actor, Varun Dhawan shared that he has been very protective of the show host, Karan Johar, and has seen that Karan has often been misinterpreted and judged by people for his personality.

Talking about Varun Dhawan’s protective nature, Karan said, “I know this personally, you do get worried about what people have to say. I know you’re protective about me many times. You’ve called me and said, Karan, don’t do this, don’t do that, you will get trolled. You do get very very hyper.”

Reacting to the same Varun said, “There is, because I feel there is a misinterpretation, of how people actually are. Like the way I know you, I just feel you’re very misinterpreted. Like people just look at you and think something else, than what you actually are. They just see Karan Johar as an exterior.”

He added, “Like they will see these diamonds you’re wearing, they will see this snazzy suit you’re wearing, and they will believe that this is what Karan Johar is. They don’t want to believe that he’s a father, he’s a loving son. He runs an office, how well he takes care of his entire staff”,

Varun Dhawan Gets Bothered If Karan Johar Signs Other Actors For His Films

During a chat with the filmmaker, Coolie No. 1 actor admitted about getting bothered if Karan Johar signs other actors in his films, Varun said, “It definitely made me think, am I slipping in my game? Have I not created that right body of work or image as an actor for Karan to consider me in his films? Sometimes it was also along the lines of why Karan thinks I can’t do these roles. For me, it is more in terms of introspection of my competencies. It never leads to me feeling envious or defeated by your selection. I take it as an opportunity to analyze where I can possibly improve,”

Upcoming Movies Of Varun Dhawan

On the work front, after the massive success of Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Varun Dhawan has a good lineup of forthcoming projects. Varun Dhawan will be seen in Bhediya alongside Kriti Sanon. Apart from Bhediya he also has Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor and Shashank Khaitan’s film Ranbhoomi, which is said to be shelved.
