We are currently in the era of Bollywood where the majority of the movies are either remakes or sequels. Apart from this many filmmakers are also going to make movies that are adaptations of some super hit Hollywood movie. While many are expressing their displeasure on this trend, others are willing to see Bollywood tadka to Hollywood movies.

In the upcoming year, there a few much-awaited films that will be an adaptation of Hollywood movies. Many of these ventures are currently on the cards while a few are already in the making.

Here are a few upcoming Bollywood movies that are the adaptations of Hollywood movies:

Laal Singh Chaddha

The much-awaited film of 2021, Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan is also an adaptation of the cult classic Hollywood movie, Forrest Gump. The 1994 Hollywood movie stars Tom Hanks as the main lead and it garnered a lot of praise in the 90s. It will be interesting to see Aamir Khan step into the shoes of veteran actor Tom Hanks in Laal Singh Chaddha.

Girl On The Train

Actress Parineeti Chopra is allegedly set to play the main lead in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie, Girl On The Train. Speaking of the Hollywood movie, it is an adaptation of the novel by Paula Hawkins by the same name. The movie just like the book is a favorite among many. The Bollywood remake of the suspense-thriller book is something to watch out for.


The hunk of Bollywood, Tiger Shroff is gearing up for the role of Rambo which is the Hindi remake of the Rambo franchise of Hollywood. The original film is filled with action-drama and indeed, Tiger is a perfect fit for the same. The shooting of the film was halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic and hasn’t resumed yet.

The Intern

The Intern is among the celebrated films of the Hollywood industry. The 2015 movie will soon have a Hindi remake starring Deepika Padukone. The Bollywood remake was to star Rishi Kapoor opposite DP. However, after the veteran actor’s sudden demise, the question remains of who will replace him in the much-awaited movie.

Looop Lapeta

Looop Lapeta starring Taapsee Pannu is an adaptation of the 1998 Hollywood movie Run Lola Run. The original film has been bestowed with many awards. Even the main lead, Franka was appreciated for her role. It will be fun to see Taapsee in this sports-drama movie. The shooting for the same will start very soon.
