Last year we saw many remakes that were proven to be a blockbuster on box office. Whether its ‘Simmba’ the remake of south film ‘Temper’ or ‘Kabir Singh’ which was again a remake of the south hit ‘Arjun Reddy’.
So here we have movies of Bollywood which are the remakes of either Tollywood, Hollywood or even Bollywood:
Coolie No. 1
1995 Govinda and Karishma Kapoor starrer superhit rom-com are one of the Indian audiences’ favorite films.
Bollywood has been thinking about remaking the film, and the actor first to be in the mind of makers can no one else that Varun Dhawan in the lead. Also, he is the ideal actor who can better play Govinda‘s comic role. Sara Ali Khan who is not a newbie anymore is confirmed to be pairing opposite Varun Dhawan.
The latter is already excited about the film and the posters are out. The movie will release on May 1st, 2020. We’ve seen his rom-com movies earlier, like, ‘ Main Tera Hero, ‘ ‘ Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya ‘ etc. He is loved by his fans in romcom more than the rest of roles.
Jersy
The sports-drama in the Hindi version is under the direction of Gowtam Tinnanauri, who also led the original 2019 Telugu movie, with Nani in the lead. In August this year Jersey, which also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor, will be released.
Jersey tells the story of a brilliant but unsuccessful cricketer who, in his late thirties, wants to rejoin the team motivated by a desire to serve the Indian cricket team and fulfills his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.

100RX
2018 Telegu’s action-drama film ‘ RX 100 ‘ is the upcoming Bollywood movies in the remake which has been tentatively titled Tadap with Tara Sutaria opposite Sunil Shetty’s son and debutante Ahan Shetty as the lead actors. The plot involves an intense-action love story. Directed by Milan Luthria produced Sajid Nadiadwala and scripted by Rajat Arora will direct this Bollywood remake. According to sources, there will be changes in the script and the movie is set to release this year dates are not confirmed by the makers.
Rambo
Tiger Shroff has already shown his keen interest in playing the character Rambo in the Hindi version after’ Baaghi”s massive box office success. He is certainly the best in the industry to perform in such a role where the lead actor requires great strength, body, and intense action. Tiger Shroff has all the qualities to it. The film will be directed by Siddh and will hit the theaters this year.
Mulshi Pattern
The next upcoming Bollywood film in the remake trend is the 2018 Marathi film ‘ Mulshi Pattern. ‘There have been reports that the film will be produced by Salman Khan and that Aayush Sharma will play the lead.
Dil Bechara
‘ Kizzie Aur Manny ‘ which is the adaptation of the popular Hollywood movie ‘ The Fault in Our Stars ‘the title is renamed to ‘ Dil Bechara. ‘ The story of two young cancer patients who fall in love, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi.
After rampant speculation, the confirmed release date has been announced for Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi’s Dil Bechara. The movie is set to release on May 8, 2020. The film was originally scheduled to be released on 29 November 2019.
As you can see, this and the next year will see so many remake movies. We just hope, they do justice in terms of direction and acting to the original films. Currently, the remakes are the talk of the town ‘ Coolie No.1 ‘ and ‘ Rambo ‘ from Tiger Shroff.
