Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the much-anticipated Bollywood spy thriller film, “Ulajh” was released in the theatres on 2 August alongside Ajay Devgn starter “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha”. Unfortunately, the film opened up to poor reviews from critics and the public and a disappointing box office opening. Now as per reports, a leading OTT platform has secured the digital rights of the film.
Ulajh OTT Platform
According to Newzbytes, the makers of “Ulajh” have sold the digital rights of the film to the OTT platform, Netflix. This means that the action thriller will be released directly on Netflix after its theatrical run. However, an official confirmation about the same is still awaited.
Meanwhile, talking about the OTT release date of the film is yet to be announced. The 8-week theatre window is the standard theatrical-to-digital window that typically spans around 8 weeks. This means the film will most probably be released on the OTT platform by late October or November. However, the OTT release could be postponed further if the film performs well at the box office.
About Ulajh
“Ulajh” follows Suhana Bhatia, a young IAS officer played by Kapoor, whose credibility is doubted due to her influential surname. She forms a bond with Nakul Bhatia, a criminal played by Devaiah, and they get caught in a web of intrigue at the London embassy. Suspected by Sebin Joseph Kutty, portrayed by Matthew, Suhana embarks on a mission to clear her name. The film also explores a larger conflict between Indian R&AW agents and Pakistan’s ISI.
Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role alongside Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain. The film is produced by Vineet Jain under Junglee Pictures.
