Ujda Chaman shifts its release date to avoid clash with Bala

Ujda Chaman will release on November 1 instead of November 7 to avoid clash with Bala.

While Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala and Sunny Singh’s Ujda Chaman were battling the plagiarism issues, the makers of Ujda Chaman have now pre-poned the release of their film to avoid the clash.

A source quoted “It was an obvious choice that the makers of Ujda Chaman would change the release date of their venture. Given the fact that Bala and Ujda Chaman are quite similar, it makes no sense to release both films in quick succession. Moving ahead the release date was a logical move.”

Abhishek Pathak- the director of Ujda Chaman accused the makers of Bala for copying the story, some scenes, dialogues, release date and even the posters. Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ is set in Kanpur that revolves around a man suffering from premature balding and the lack of confidence and societal pressure which runs with it.

While Ujda Chaman is gives an insight into Chaman Kohli’s life, a Hindi lecturer dealing with premature baldness at the age of 30. After facing several rejections as a prospective groom, Chaman gets on a mission to find himself a wife within a deadline or remain a celibate forever.

Earlier the makers of Bala were releasing their film in the second half of November but they preponed it later and now the film will release on November 7. Seems like, they are in a hurry to cash the box-office. But now with Ujda Chaman releasing on November 1, it will be interesting to see both the films battling at the BO.
