A few days ago, playback singer and TV host Aditya Narayan revealed his wedding plans with his long-time girlfriend Shweta Agarwal. He said that the duo plans to get married by the end of this year.
The duo met on the sets of their 2010 film Shaapit. Aditya said in an interview, “Slowly and gradually, I realised I was head-over-heels in love and started pursuing her. Initially, she wanted to be ‘just friends’, because we were both very young and needed to focus on our careers.”
He then gave out the big news of his marriage as he said, “Like every relationship, we have seen a lot of ups-and-downs over the last 10 years. Marriage is just a formality between us now, which hopefully should also happen by November or December. My parents know Shweta and like her a lot. I am happy that I have found my soulmate in her.”
However, his father Udit Narayan was shocked by his decision. Udit Narayan told that his son Aditya broke the news to him earlier this year, which left him ‘a little shocked’. He then also warned him about his decision. In an interview, Udit Narayan told, “I have known Shweta for many years but only as a friend of my son. Aditya came to me one day and told me that he wants to marry Shweta. I just told Aditya that if something happens later, don’t blame the parents.”
However, Udit Narayan supports his son and is looking forward to the wedding ceremony. He said, “I wanted to celebrate Aditya’s wedding in a grand manner and call many people. But I will not go against the decision of the government. I hope that the situation will be cured by December so that I can enjoy my only son’s marriage.”
