Twitter Users React As Kangana Ranaut Transforms Into Indira Gandhi

Check out the mixed reactions of Twitter users as Kangana Ranaut transforms into Indira Gandhi for her upcoming film 'Emergency'.

Dhaakad actress Kangana Ranaut has unveiled the first look of her upcoming film ‘Emergency.’ The film is being made under her home production banner ‘Manikarnika Films’. While the film is still in the making, she has teased her fans with a small visual as she plays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film.

Fans are blown away to see Kangana’s unrecognizable transformation for her role. The actress is currently trending on Twitter as people express their views on Kangana’s look along with the subject of the upcoming film. A user tweeted, “This is called Craft, Talent, Acting and super stardom.”

Last year, Kangana impressed the Indian audience when she transformed herself into the former CM of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha for her biopic titled ‘Thalaivii’. Wondering how the same actress can ace the role of two different politicians with physical figures and personalities poles apart, fans have been appreciating Kangana’s talent.

Another user said, ‘I really liked Emergency’s look. I don’t think there is any other female actor in India right now who has shown the emotional range as good as what Kangana has done in recent years.”

“She is badass, knows what she wants, and bloody well gets it….what an uncanny resemblance,” wrote a Twitter user.

While Kangana Ranaut has surely impressed a larger chunk of the audience, there are some critics too. Unhappy with the film’s subject, someone tweeted, “Next flop on the way. She plays the lead as Former Prime Minister Of India- Indira Gandhi, who rejected the Anandpur Resolution and ordered the army to launch Operation Blue Star.”

A few other Twitter users also made fun of Kangana’s transformation.

‘Emergency’ is all set to release in 2023.
