Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana recently joined a beach cleanup at Mumbai’s Versova Beach after Ganesh Visarjan, organized by Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis and the Divyaj Foundation. This initiative aimed to combat post-festival waste’s impact on marine life and was part of the ‘Bache Bole Morya’ program under the Sea Shore Shine campaign.

A video of actor Ayushmann Khurrana from the public welfare event is making rounds on the internet. In the shared video, Ayushmann was seen participating in the beach cleanup drive at Mumbai’s Versova Beach, joined by dignitaries like Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, and Niranjan Hiranandani, managing director of the Hiranandani Group.
In the viral video, Ayushmann was seen wearing blue cleaning gloves and a full black outfit along with black sunglasses. As the footage rolled on, he was seen picking up flower petals while posing for the cameras. However, many netizens criticized the actor, accusing him of “pretending” to clean the beach rather than genuinely contributing to the effort.

Reacting to the video, a Redditor wrote, “What are they cleaning exactly?”, one wrote, “What are they DOING? WHERE IS THE CLEANUP PART??? oh god!!! Record the cleaning workers rather!!!”, another commented, “Nobody is cleaning anything, he’ll click a couple of pictures and leave, followed by the PR nonsense, “ohh wow Ayushman is an environmentalist”.

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in the 2023 released comedy-drama, “Dream Girl 2”. As per reports, the actor was expected to be seen in “Border 2” but has reportedly opted out of the project now. He is also expected to star in an action comedy with Sara Ali Khan.
