Actor Trimala Adhikari expresses her opinion on Raj Kundra pornography case. She is known for her work in Haraamkhor, Garbage etc.

Actor Trimala Adhikari, who is known for her work in the 2015 film Haraamkhor alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui has expressed her opinions on the Raj Kundra case. She said in an exclusive interview with us, “I had no idea that there’s such an app. I’ll be honest, being an actor, I also get calls to work in such web shows. But you need to be smart enough to know what’s right. I have not even seen the content of that app. So, I cannot comment that it is legal or not. I was talking to a few friends from the industry about the same and none of us had a single clue about any of this. I didn’t even know that Raj Kundra was into films. I thought he is a businessman while Shilpa Shetty is an actor. It is shocking for everyone. If I get a chance to watch it, then I’ll tell if it is legal or illegal.”

“But if it is illegal, it shouldn’t be happening. Don’t exploit people. Don’t make false promises to actors and then force them into such business. On the other hand, people should be aware of what they are doing, she further added.

While discussing how Shilpa Shetty’s name is being dragged and reputation is being damaged amid the controversy, Trimala said, “I understand that they are husband and wife but sometimes you don’t know what your partner is up to. And bad things happen in every industry. Its just that the actors are in the public domain, everybody knows their faces, they become an easy target. Their life is so hard. They are always being targeted. I cannot have a life like this. It is very stressful. You can’t even sleep. They are strong human beings and we should learn from them to be strong. If Shilpa Shetty has not done anything, people should not make a judgement that she is a bad woman. Let the court decide. Let Shilpa live in peace. She has kids also. Be a little human.”

Trimala Adhikari’s latest project is Adi Sonal, a short film about Sindhi folklore also starring Neena Gupta. The 29 min film is available on Voot Select.
